Arizona State Parks & Trails: Picnic with the Pendleys

Join us for a fun spring event to learn more about the Friends of Slide Rock State Park and see the beautiful apple tree blossoms! Hear from a ranger about the historic orchards and the cycle of apples. At 10 a.m., there will be a ranger-led walk through the orchard. At 11 a.m., Kathy Pendley will do a presentation inside the Apple Packing Shed. There will also be two bluegrass bands - “Beaver Creek Gals” from 12-1 p.m. and “Duck Pond” from 1:30-3 p.m. playing inside the apple shed. Picnics are encouraged at the North Orchard. The Sedona Plein Air Painting Group will also be joining the event. This event is free with park entry.
