He will talk about his work at the intersection of space telescopes like JWST, gravitational lensing, and distant galaxies! Andy Tzanidakis is an astronomy Ph.D. candidate at the University of Washington and serves as the Director of the UW Planetarium. Andy is an observational stellar astronomer and works on novel techniques searching for the rarest types of stellar variables in the Milky Way using ground and space based observatories. Outside of work, he enjoys climbing, pickleball, hanging out with friends, and cooking
