Greetings, Space Nerds! 🚀✨
We’re back for Astronomy on Tap Orlando Event #36! Join us at Bruder Brewery & Kitchen on Thursday, November 5th, from 7–9 PM for another out-of-this-world evening of space science, drinks, and cosmic conversation! 🍻🌌
We’ll kick off the night with Dr. Jamie Isen, a postdoctoral scholar in UCF’s Department of Physics, as he takes us on a journey to the Red Planet! We’ll explore Mars’s polar regions and dive into the fascinating world of carbon dioxide and water ice, uncovering what these frozen frontiers can teach us about our planetary neighbor in his talk, “Laboratory Investigations of Martian Polar Carbon Dioxide and Water Ices.”
Then, Kayla Schang, a Ph.D. candidate in UCF’s Department of Physics, will take us even farther into our solar system to explore the asteroid belt! Join us as we venture into this fascinating region of space and discover the rocky remnants that hold clues to our solar system’s history in her talk, “Visions of the Asteroid Belt.”
This is definitely an AoT you do NOT want to miss! As always, we’ll wrap up the night with a round of space trivia, where you’ll have a chance to win some fun astronomy-themed prizes! 🪐🏆
Be sure to like, follow, and subscribe to keep up with all our upcoming events and spacey adventures!
