Astronomy on Tap Lyon: April 2026

Hey folks!! Astronomy on Tap Lyon is back again in one week! Join us on Wed April 22nd starting at 20:00. The event is FREE and everyone is welcome! You will find beers and food and we speak both French and English! The presentations will be in English as usual, but the games will be presented in both French and English. So come and learn with us, we’ll do our best to translate and include everyone! Questions and discussions in French are very welcome!

Hey folks !!! Astronomy on Tap Lyon est de retour dans une semaine ! Rejoignez-nous le mercredi 22 avril à partir de 20h00. L’événement est GRATUIT et tout le monde est le bienvenu ! Vous trouverez des bières et de la nourriture et nous parlons français et anglais ! Les présentations se feront en anglais mais les jeux sont présentés en français et en anglais. Donc venez apprendre avec nous, on fera notre mieux pour traduire et inclure tout le monde !! Les questions et discussions en français sont les très bienvenues !

The event will take place at the famous Elephant and Castle bar in the Old Town of Lyon, and we will be in the main room! You will find us as soon as you enter the bar!

We will have two presentations (~20 minutes long) followed by a fun game: (1) Julia Shouse will present “Little Red Dots: the mysterious ‘It-Girls’ of the JWST Era”

(2) Rayan Khan will present “Why Dark Skies Matter More Than Ever”

(3) Quiz time!!

There might also be smaller games and quizzes hidden throughout the talks…Join us to find out!!
