More Information
In this workshop series, kids ages 9–12 are introduced to foundational coding concepts using Scratch, a block-based programming language designed to teach children how to code. No prior experience is required. Over the course of four sessions, participants will explore coding principles such as loops, conditionals, and event-driven programming through engaging, hands-on projects—including games, animations, and interactive stories. Each session builds on the last, helping students develop both their coding skills and problem-solving abilities in a fun, age-appropriate environment. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have completed their own individual project to demonstrate their understanding. Only for ages 9-12. Program runs four sessions, and registering for first session will register you for the full series. Registration is limited. Series runs Mondays and Wednesdays from Sept. 22 to Oct. 1st. This class will be taught by a high school student at Arizona College Preparatory with a strong background in coding, robotics and in teaching coding workshops.
