More Information

Sound is a critical environmental signifier. Changes in the environment are often heard before they can be seen. Thus sound is a powerful indicator of environmental degradation and an eminently effective tool in the development of more sustainable ecosystems.

In short, environmental listening helps us understand the quality of environments, health of environments, and the impacts of these environments on our lives.

By participating in this project, you will help us gather data on the various environments that ASU campuses exists within. In turn, you will learn how to employ passive listening, directive listing, and active listening to connect with your surroundings.
