The Dayton (bio)Manufacturing Awareness and Discovery Experience (DaytonMADE) program, hosted by BlueHalo in partnership with Wright State University, is a two-week summer camp that introduces high school students to the fields of biotechnology and biomanufacturing through hands-on lab experiences, guest speakers, a campus tour, an industry field trip, soft skills training, and student demonstrations. Hosted at Wright State University, the program exposes students to various local education and career opportunities and valuable career-building advice.
• 2-week summer camp: July 7-18th
• Full day camp (Mon-Fri) hosted at Wright State University
• Free registration, lunch, lab supplies, and a t-shirt
• Free transportation available from central pick-up locations
• Students may obtain up to 70 hours of work-based learning
• Camp attendance is limited to 12 participants
The 2025 DaytonMADE Trailblazers session is for rising 10th, 11th, or 12th graders with some prior experience with biotechnology or advanced biology. Students passionate or interested in learning more about biotechnology and biomanufacturing opportunities are encouraged to participate.
