Deep Field: The Impossible Magnitude of the Universe

The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) collaborated with Grammy Award-winning composer Eric Whitacre to create this video experience inspired by the Hubble Space Telescope’s Deep Field image. Set to a performance of the symphony by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, NASA images and visualizations transport the audience from the night sky to the edge of the observable universe. The work also features an 8000-member virtual choir of singers aged 4 through 87 from 120 countries around the globe.
