Species-rich grasslands in the UK have undergone severe degredation over the past century, threatening the vital services these habitats provide to humans (from carbon storage to pollination) as well as the associated wildlife that lives here.
As such, we must monitor and manage threatened habitats and species before we lose them. This projects aim to do just this by combining satellite imagery with environmental data in a citizen science survey to save our species-rich grasslands and associated wildlife.
