Engineering for Kids: Build & Code w/ Edison Robotics / Mic Drop – Create & Share Your Own Podcast!

(AM - APPRENTICE) Build & Code with Edison Robotics Using the Edison platform, campers can design and build a series of programmable robots - from rubber band cannons, to cranes, to their own imaginative creations. Students will focus on teamwork and creative problem solving as they tackle a series of design challenges, and their robots will evolve from manually controlled to automated with the addition of basic Python programming. Our Edison Robotics camp is perfect for builders of all ages and skill levels. (PM - APPRENTICE) Mic Drop: Create & Share Your Own Podcast! The podcasting scene has simply exploded over the last few years and kids are jumping in now more than ever. In this open-ended camp, students will examine their own skills and interests and share them with the world via their very own podcasts. But what makes for an interesting podcast, and what technical skills are needed to make a podcast production-ready? Students will learn how to find and present engaging podcast topics. Then, using a kid-friendly audio editing platform, students will record and edit their podcast content. Campers so inclined can also try their hands at music production as well. At the end of the week, each podcasting group will have an audio creation to share with family and friends! 8 - 14 years old on the day of the activity June 9, 2025 until June 13, 2025 Can be full day individual drop-in sessions or half-day or full day all week session
