Design a floating city while providing two innovative examples of how your floating city works and keeps its citizens healthy and safe.
Emphasizing the engineering design process and project management, students collaborate in teams, led by Coaches, to create an essay and design a digital model showcasing a sustainable city solving the annual challenge.
With a focus on career exploration, building and maintaining STEM skills, and studying sustainable technologies, Future City High School culminates in a live presentation in front of a panel of STEM professionals.
What’s needed?
Dedicated Coach - Could be an educator, engineer, or anyone in between
3-5 High School Students
Ability to meet once a week for 2-3 hours
Access to computer and internet
$300-$450 Registration Fee per team
Up to $100 budget for model and presentation materials
Ticket Required: No
Minimum Age: 13
Maximum Age: 18
