iD Tech: Game Design 101 Day Camp

Embark on your game design journey and develop your own game! You’ll explore game design principles and analyze what makes games fun by brainstorming and collaborating with your peers on a tactile project. Then, build upon your understanding of game theory and create a game with GDevelop, a powerful yet user-friendly engine for beginners and seasoned developers alike. Design levels, create custom sprite art, and build game mechanics out of visual code and built-in behaviors. Voyage through side-scrolling lands or top-down adventure maps as you perfect wall jumps and unlock treasures. You can even publish your project on the official GDevelop website for your friends to play across the web! Your career as a game developer could start here, with pathways that branch to Unity and Unreal Engine. Ages 10 - 12 Jun 16-20 Check-in: Mon-Fri 8:30-9am Pick-up: Mon-Thu 4:30-5pm; Fri 2-3pm
