More Information
Java is one of the world’s most relevant and long-standing programming languages today. No matter where you are in your coding journey—just getting started, preparing a college resume, or prepping for the AP Computer Science exam—you’ll sharpen your Java skills with logic-based programs, arcade-style games, and programming challenges. Work your way up from variables, loops, and conditional statements to arrays and functions to object-oriented concepts and more! Design a password checking system, a text-based adventure, or a player vs. player game. Building on your knowledge, you’ll hone your skills and learn to catch input errors so your program can continue running. Furthermore, practice algorithm design and create a program that plays Tic Tac Toe against humans! Finally, finish strong with a portfolio of projects showcasing your skills that you could use to impress colleges and potential employers. With essential Java coding under your belt, you’ll be ready for a future in STEM and application design! Ages 13 - 17 Jun 15-20 5 nights. All meals. Sun 6pm-Fri 2-3pm. First meal Sunday night. Last meal Friday lunch.
