Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert Critters – Spooky Season Edition

Come meet some of our “creepiest” creatures. October is spooky season, and the Sonoran Desert has some of the spookiest critters you can find anywhere! Snakes, scorpions, spiders, centipedes and bats all make their homes right here in our parks, and we will have a selection of these animals on hand for you to meet. But remember, while spooky to some, all of these animals have an important part to play in the giant web of life. Be warned: you may walk away more impressed than frightened.
