More Information
Enjoy an early morning walk to watch for birds, lizards, snakes, and more with Ranger Jacque. Let’s see what sorts of wildlife we can spot. Birds should be active at this time and there’s not a bad chance for lizards and small animals too. If you have them, bring binoculars or magnifying glasses for the birds and bugs! The route starts easy on Littleleaf Trail to connect onto Goldmine Trail to loop back to the trailhead totaling 1.3 miles. The terrain is mostly level but there are a few spots that are uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center. MEETING LOCATION: Main Trailhead map kiosk Limit 12 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 7 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/23/24. Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The MC Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program. Free with Park Fee
