Join Ranger Jacque and Park Staff and “Give Your Land a Hand” during the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer event. This National Public Lands Day, show your appreciation and earn volunteer hours while helping to beautify McDowell Mountain’s outdoor Nature Center area! We’ll be giving the shade structures and picnic tables a much-needed makeover. Specific activity may include scraping off old paint, sanding, and repainting. Shade, restrooms, and water are available nearby. Please bring work gloves if you have them, appropriate shoes and clothing, and a water bottle.
