More Information

Join Ranger Nikki on an easy/moderate terrain hike to see plant life that may have been invigorated by any monsoon rains. Join Ranger Nikki on an easy-paced hike to observe cacti, shrubs and any flowering plants that may have popped up if we were treated to monsoon rains. If conditions are right, we could see leafing ocotillos, plump saguaros and pops of color from shrubs and flowers that rely on rains this time of year. The route is an out-and-back hike on Slate and Flume Trails that will total 3 – 3.5 miles depending on our pace and what we see. The trail surfaces vary from smooth and level to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, snacks and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead. Meeting Location: Slate Trailhead Map of Meeting Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/HHZ7QAEJqTum6fqj6 No registration required.
