More Information

Learn about diverse desert plant life on a short hike with Ranger Nikki. We will see cacti, trees, perennial shrubs and annual plants and discuss their life cycles and survival strategies. The route uses Pipeline Canyon Trail from the south access point to travel to the Cove. If the water level allows, we will continue across the canyon and use the same route to return, covering no more than 2 miles total. The trail surface ranges from smooth and level to rocky and uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring snacks and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the trailhead. For those of you participating in the annual Maricopa County Parks 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge, this is a great way to earn miles towards your goal! The Challenge runs November 1, 2025 – February 8, 2026. For details on the program please visit: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/things-to-do/activity/100-miles-in-100-days-challenge/ MEETING LOCATION: Pipeline Canyon Trailhead, south access side at the dead-end of North Park Road.
