Experience the majesty of the desert as the sun dips below the horizon on this informative walk. We will hike the Rock Peak Wash Trail (2.2 miles, easy-moderate rating, 93 ft elevation change) while discussing the amazing life cycle and significance of the Sonoran Desert’s saguaros, including seeking out a unique crested form found along this path. This is a casual hike, perfect for logging miles for the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge! Restrooms and water are NOT available at this trailhead, so please plan accordingly. No pets, please. Please bring $7 exact change cash per vehicle to cover the park entry fee upon arrival.
