Join Ranger Kevin for a mid-morning hike in our beautiful springtime desert. Join Ranger Kevin for a 2.6-mile hike on the Cottonwood trail. Trail is rated easy-moderate, with some loose rock, uneven terrain and little elevation change. We will be on the lookout for all kinds of wildlife along the way, especially butterflies, as well as wildflowers. Some animals we may see include mule deer, javelina, squirrels, rabbits, birds and perhaps a reptile or two. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Hats and sunscreen are also highly recommended. Restrooms are available near the trailhead. No pets, please.
