  Plants Inspiring the People: Reflections on Hualapai Ethnobotany of the Grand Canyon  Part of the series Earth Speak: Indigenous Voices at Mission Garden. In this series, learn from six nationally recognized Indigenous leaders who are reclaiming traditional agricultural practices and foodways across North America.  FREE  Please dress warmly as this talk will be outdoors. There will be a limited amount of traditional Hualapai foods available to taste.  6:30-8PM, Doors open at 6PM.  About the Speakers: Jorigine Paya (Hualapai) & Carrie Cannon (Kiowa/Oglala Lakota)                    Paya is a plant knowledge bearer and is fluent in the Hualapai language. Cannon is an ethnobotanist who works with tribal elders and youth promoting the persistence of tribal plant knowledge as a living practice and tradition.
