Phoenix Public Library: Burton Barr Library Art and Architecture Tour

Did you know 100,000 pounds of copper went into the building construction of Burton Barr Library? That’s the equivalent of 17,500,000 pennies! Join us on a building tour to learn more incredible facts! Explore the art works and architectural features of the Burton Barr Library. Designed by renowned architect Will Bruder, the 5 story tall library contains works of art including sculptures, paintings and fiber arts. This one-hour walking tour will cover highlights of the art and explain the design elements that went in to making Burton Barr Library a local landmark. Tours are limited to 15 participants.
