Did you know 100,000 pounds of copper went into the building construction of Burton Barr Library? That’s the equivalent of 17,500,000 pennies! Join us on a building tour to learn more incredible facts! Explore the art works and architectural features of the Burton Barr Library. Designed by renowned architect Will Bruder, the 5 story tall library contains works of art including sculptures, paintings and fiber arts. This one-hour walking tour will cover highlights of the art and explain the design elements that went in to making Burton Barr Library a local landmark. Tours are limited to 15 participants. Registration is required. Meet in the Gallery on the first floor.
