This pilot study will provide the photographic data needed to train AI protocols to recognize ages of penguin chicks in the wild.

This research project aims to use photographs of penguins, eggs and chicks from citizen scientists to monitor changes in timing of seasonal breeding. Photos from zoos and aquariums will be used to train AI programs that will process large datasets.
