Building fractions sense requires students to have robust visual models and flexible understandings of fractions. We will explore the operations of fractions through sense-making visually rich experiences. Join us and you will build, draw, and discuss fraction addition and subtraction. We will use representations to build a deeper understanding of fraction operations. Come and engage with fractions deeply. **NOTE: Participants will be expected to take a task back to their classrooms, collect and analyze student work, and share their reflections with the CRR. Date: Saturday, September 28, 2024 Time: 1:00pm-5:00pm (4 hours with a break) Location: Hybrid: In-person at UArizona Tucson Campus. Remote via Zoom. Earn: Up to 5 hours of professional development credit for recertification.
