Science takes center stage at the Third Annual Visit Lauderdale Science Festival. This FREE, indoor-outdoor celebration transforms downtown Fort Lauderdale into a hands-on playground of STEM exploration, live experiments and unforgettable wow moments for all ages.
Festival Highlights
**Amazon: Prime Air –**Get up close with Amazon’s electric Rivian vans and explore the future of green transportation. Families can help create a large, collaborative community mural that blends art, sustainability and innovation. **International Game Fish Association: Learn to Fish Like a Pro –**Young learners cast into science with a hands-on fishing clinic featuring knot-tying, tackle basics, conservation and safety. A fun introduction to outdoor science and stewardship. **Florida Prepaid College Savings Plans: Microscope Flower Lab –**Discover the hidden structure of flowers through microscopes. Examine petals, pollen and plant parts while learning how each plays a role in growth and reproduction. **Math Happens: Play Your Way Into Math –**Explore open-ended math play with pattern blocks, bubble tiles and Geometiles. Hands-on challenges turn problem-solving into an engaging experience for all ages. **Environmental Documentaries in the AutoNation IMAX Theater –Enjoy a breathtaking, FREE IMAX® documentary screening ofLost Wolves of Yellowstone, made possible by IMAX. The film explores wildlife conservation, ecosystem balance and the science behind restoring nature.

Science Bob– YouTube star and educator, Science Bob Pflugfelder delivers fast-paced experiments and big reactions. Chemistry Colleen: Black Marker Ate a Rainbow– Dr. Colleen Kelley presents a quick, colorful chromatography demo showing how colors separate and mix. School of Rock– Students bring the energy with a live performance that blends rhythm, sound science and teamwork. WeFlip Science Acrobats– A high-energy duo turns physics into a full-body experience with flips, climbs and gravity-defying feats.
