Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay Active Aging Week

Good Afternoon,

My name is Roy Rushing, and I serve as a Virtual Engagement Specialist at Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In addition to my digital engagement work, I also assist with event planning and coordination for our vibrant senior living community.

We are currently preparing for “Active Aging Week,” which takes place October 6–10. As part of our programming, I’d love to explore the possibility of inviting the Back Bay Amateur Astronomers to our campus. We have a beautiful, open area along the bay (pictured below), and I believe our residents would thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to view the night sky through your telescopes and engage with your knowledgeable team.  

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing your group at the Oceanfront, in Ghent, and other locations, and I’ve always thought your outreach would be a wonderful fit for our community.
