Join Park Volunteer Tom Locascio for a morning walk followed by an informational program in the Nature Center about the birds of White Tank Mountain Regional Park! Join experienced birder and Park Volunteer Tom Locascio—a proud member of the Audubon Society and Sun City Birding Club—for a guided bird walk through White Tank Mountain Regional Park. After the walk, gather in the Nature Center classroom for an engaging presentation on the park’s feathered residents, from desert dwellers to seasonal visitors. Please wear protective clothing and closed-toe shoes, and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center, though may not be accessible at the trailhead. Pets are not permitted—service animals are welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just curious about the winged wonders of the desert, this program offers a great way to connect with nature and deepen your appreciation for our local wildlife. PLEASE NOTE: Programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather events. The Maricopa County Parks website (www.maricopa.gov/parks) is the most accurate resource for verifying the program’s current status. Please check the program listing before coming to the park. MEETING LOCATION: NATURE CENTER Limit 12 participants. To register, please contact the Park Nature Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 5 to register. If you cannot attend a program that you previously registered for, please contact us ASAP so we may open seats to other interested parties.
