Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Discovery Station – Edible Plants

The Sonoran Desert is home to over 200 species of edible plant. Once we start getting exotic, well, that number gets fancy fast. Ranger Shaun likes to talk about it. Our desert is the most biodiverse desert on the planet. No small part of that tremendous biodiversity is the plant life. Many of which have provided food for human settlement dating back thousands of years.
