This is a medium difficulty hike on sections of Moonlight, Stargazer, and San Tan trails. Along the way we’ll discuss some of the edible plants found in our desert. We’ll talk about how some of the ancient people of the desert used these plants for survival and how some of them have been used through the years or perhaps even still are in products we use today. Closed toed shoes and water bottles required. Sunscreen and hats recommended. Walking or hiking sticks not necessary but may be helpful in some areas. Restrooms and water are available near the trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Central trailhead area Precise Meeting Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jdy46iBLqyf6cRPSA Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 7 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
