More Information
Learn about reptiles and amphibians on this guided hike with Ranger Eric. Join Ranger Eric to go herping (looking for reptiles and amphibians) on this a short hike of part of Blevins and Amigos Wash Trails. We will discuss identification and behavior of Sonoran Desert herpetofauna as we go and discuss safety around venomous wildlife. Please wear sturdy footwear and sun protection, carry ample water for yourself, and pre-hydrate and take electrolytes beforehand. We will be walking on sand and some uneven or rocky surfaces, but the distance and time we spend on the hike will depend on the heat. We will at least try to do a little bit before it heats up. Restrooms are located at the Trailhead Staging Area parking lot. MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging Area.
