Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Metate in the Morning

Come along a roughly 2-mile hike along a seasonal stream, through a mesquite bosque, and back down an old dirt road. Discuss the history of Spur Cross. Watch for wildlife. Learn about the plants in the area and how they and the creek, with its seasonal moods, affects each other. This is a 2.1-mile hike along an easy rated trail with some shade. Closed toe shoes and water bottle required. Temperatures can change quickly on the trail so dressing in layers is recommended. No pets please.
