Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Saguaro Walk

Learn all about saguaros and meet the rare and remarkable “Michelin Man” and “Three Amigos” cacti during this guided hike with Ranger Jacque. Join Ranger Jacque for a guided hike to learn about the ecology of the Sonoran Desert, and of course, about the saguaros! You may have seen saguaros before, but have you ever marveled at the mighty Michelin Man, or cast any thought to the Three Amigos? These extraordinary saguaros are unusual and awesome, and we can walk to see them within 1.5 miles! Please wear protective clothing and/or sunscreen, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water. Restrooms are available at the Slate Trailhead parking. PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events.
